LT2004 m. buvo tęsiami Meškininkų piliakalnio (Jurbarko r. Jurbarko sen.) archeologiniai tyrinėjimai, pradėti 2003 m. (žr. ATL 2003 metais, V., 2005. p. 67-68). Tyrinėjimai vykdyti aikštelės PV pakraštyje, į S ir R nuo 2003 m. tyrinėtų vietų. Čia erozijos bei lapių urvų smarkiai apgadintoje vietoje iškasti 3 plotai (90 m2) [p. 61].

ENIn 2004 in the S part of the top of the Meškininkai hill-fort (Jurbarkas district) the total area of 90 m2 was investigated. A hearth pit, a stone pavement, two pits (one of them a waste-pit) and about 90 hand-made pottery shards with a smooth and brushed surface were found. The finds are datable to the 1st millennium B. C. and are applicable to an unfortified settlement, which used to exist here before the hill-fort was formed.
