ENThis article deals with the issue of the embassy of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania to the Horde. The particular attention is paid to its dating as well as to the search for an answer to the question of whom the Lithuanian-Horde alliance should have been directed against. The author comes to the conclusion that this alliance had an anti-Polish orientation, but interference of the Moscow side in the negotiation process forced Olgierd to regulate relations with the Grand Duchy of Moscow at first.
