Tyrinėjimai reprezentacinių rūmų ansamblio teritorijoje

LT2006 m. buvo tęsiami 1995 m. pradėti archeologiniai tyrinėjimai Vilniaus reprezentacinių rūmų ansamblio teritorijoje (S. Daukanto a. 3, Universiteto g. 6 ir Totorių g. 28) [p. 398].

ENIn 2006 investigations were conducted on the grounds of the Vilnius Representative Hall complex at S. Daukanto Square 3, Universiteto St. 6, and Totorių St. 28. An excavation was conducted inside building 03A (formerly a coach house in the early 19th century) (an excavated area of 227.6 m2) as well as outside the building (an excavated area of 172 m2). 3 test pits (with an excavated area of 32.3 m2) were dug on the grounds of the park. A field survey (with a surveyed area of about 116 m2) was made near the N fence surrounding the park (Liejyklos St.). During the excavation, fragments of wooden constructions dating to the 16th–18th centuries and of Vilnius’ 16th century defensive wall were discovered as well as finds dating to the 16th–20th centuries.
