Žvalgymai Pylimo gatvėje

LT2006 m. atliekant vandentiekio magistralės Nr. 36 renovacijos darbus apie 140 m2 plote atlikti archeologiniai žvalgymai. Didžiausios apimties žemės kasimo darbai vykdyti Pylimo g., keli šurfai iškasti Geležinkelio g. Archeologiniai žvalgymai suteikė naujų duomenų apie kultūrinio sluoksnio pobūdį, išlikimo laipsnį įvairiose vietose šioje (V ir PV) Vilniaus senojo miesto dalyje [p. 379].

ENIn 2006 an evaluation was conducted in an area of about 140 m2 on Pylimo and Geležinkelio Sts. During them a 15th–20th century cultural layer was recorded. Brick constructions, conjectured to be the remains of bridges, were discovered opposite the locations of the Trakai and Rūdninkai Gates in the city’s defensive wall. The remains of brick sewers and wooden water pipes as well as wooden construction elements – the remains of bastion fortifications (?) from the 19th – 1st half of the 20th century were also found. 16th–20th century archaeological finds were discovered at the evaluated sites.
