Tyrinėjimai Maironio g. 11 ir Šiltadaržio g. 6

ENIn 2006 an excavation were conducted in Vilnius at Maironio St. 11 in the former Bernardine monastery complex. Fragments of 16th, 17th, and 20th century brick walls were found at the sites of trenches for rehabilitating the foundations of the S and E buildings while 16th–19th century finds were discovered in the mixed cultural layer. 16th–19th century finds were discovered inside the S and E buildings. During an excavation in 2006, a cultural layer of up to 2.1 m thick, which was destroyed in the 20th century, was discovered inside the building at Šiltadaržio St. 6 in Vilnius. An arched 17th century foundation was unearthed.
