Žvalgymai S. Moniuškos skvere

LT2006 m. LII MTS vykdė archeologinius žvalgymus Vilniuje, Vilniaus ir Klaipėdos g. sankirtoje, Moniuškos skvere, kur pagal suderintą projektą buvo atliekami jo tvarkymo darbai [p. 372].

ENIn 2006 an evaluation was conducted in Moniuškos Sq. at the intersection of Vilniaus and Klaipėdos Sts. in Vilnius. Fill layers dating to the late 19th–20th century and fragments of late 18th–19th century brick walls were recorded in it. Between the Benedictine monastery and the fence enclosing Moniuškos Sq. on the E an 18th century brick installation for storing quick and hydrated lime was discovered at a depth of 0.8 m. Fragments of 18th–19th century brick buildings were discovered at a depth of 0.6–1.7 m near the brick wall enclosing the Square on the E. The subsoil was not reached in the greater part of the lot. The lower layers were not excavated.
