Žvalgymai Kranto g. 7, 9

LT2006 m. LII MTS vykdė archeologinius žvalgymus Trakų senojo miesto vietoje (A 1783), Kranto g. 7, 9. Žvalgymų vieta yra centrinėje Trakų senojo miesto vietos dalyje, šalia Kranto ir Trakų g. sankryžos. Minėti darbai vykdyti Kranto g. Š pusėje, planuojamos vandentiekio ir kanalizacijos trasos vietoje. Šiam tikslui buvo iškasta tranšėja, kuri išplanuota ŠV–PR kryptimi. Tranšėja kasta nuo namo Kranto g. 9 kieme esančio kanalizacijos šulinio į greta esančio namo Kranto g. 7 kiemą, šalia gyvenamojo namo ŠV kampo. Žvalgymai Kranto g. apėmė 21 m ilgio ruožą, iš viso – 31 m2 plotą [p. 360].

ENIn 2006 the LII MTS conducted an evaluation of the Trakai old town site (A 1783) at Kranto St. 7, 9. The aforementioned work was performed on the N side of Kranto St. at the planned site of a water main and sewerage line. The evaluation on Kranto St. encompassed a segment 21 m long and a total area of 31 m2. A mixed, disturbed cultural layer dating to the 20th century was recorded during the evaluation but isolated finds from a previously destroyed cultural layer, which dated to the 17th–19th centuries, were discovered in it. At two locations in the trench stone and brick walls and stone foundations were discovered. The possibility has not been rejected that the foundations found in the territory of Kranto St. 7, 9 could be the foundation of the city’s town hall.
