Žvalgomieji tyrinėjimai Karaimų g. 28

LT2006 m. vykdyti žvalgomieji archeologiniai tyrinėjimai Trakuose, Karaimų g. 28 esančio pastato rūsyje ir sklype. Šiuo adresu esantis pastatas ir sklypas nuosavybės teise priklauso Lietuvos karaimų bendruomenei. Rekonstruojant pastatą, keičiant kai kurių patalpų paskirtį, tiesiant kanalizacijos ir vandentiekio trasas, pastate irjo aplinkoje buvo numatyti žemės judinimo darbai. Todėl prieš jų pradžią buvo atlikti žvalgomieji archeologiniai tyrinėjimai, kurių metu ištirtos 9 perkasos, iš viso 51,06 m2. Aptikta per 417 radinių [p. 357].

ENIn 2006 an evaluation was made in the basement of a building and in the lot located at Karaimų St. 28 in Trakai. 9 trenches with a total area of 51.06 m2 were excavated during it. Over 417 finds were discovered. The greatest part of them consisted of pottery, i. e. 402 sherds. Besides the pottery, 15 fragments of various iron artefacts and stone paving were also found. The discovered archaeological material shows that it is possible to date the layers discovered in the evaluated territory at Karaimų St. 28 to the 16th-17th centuries and the 18th-19th centuries but to date the surface layers that contain household and construction waste to the 20th century.
