Prisikėlimo aikštė Šiauliuose

LT2006 m. Šiauliuose buvo rekonstruojama Prisikėlimo aikštė. Šių darbų metu buvo atliekami archeologiniai tyrimai. Iki šiol archeologiniai tyrinėjimai Prisikėlimo aikštėje nevykdyti, išskyrus 1997 m. ŠMA archeologės A. Šapaitės čia tirtą 3 m2 dydžio šurfą. Tyrinėjimai vykdyti teritorijos ŠR ir Š dalyse kasant šurfus. Jų metu surinkti radiniai datuojami XVII–XVIII a [p. 347].

ENIn 2006 an excavation was conducted in Šiauliai in Prisikėlimo Sq., which is under reconstruction. During it, a total area of 305 m2 was excavated and a 0.5–1.7 m thick cultural layer with 16th–18th century finds was discovered. Thrown pottery predominated among the finds. A large quantity of animal bones, stove tile sherds, a silver 1763 Prussian taler, an iron triangular padlock, a white clay pipe bowl, and a small pig skin fragment were also found. Stone paving, the foundation of a building or fence, the foundation of a 19th century Russian Orthodox church, and a storage pit were among the objects found.
