Vandentiekio trasa šalia Pilies gatvės

LT2006 m. buvo vykdomi archeologiniai tyrinėjimai Klaipėdos senamiestyje (A 1704), vandentiekio trasos vietoje šalia Pilies g. Juos užsakė UAB „Grundolita“, nes šioje vietoje suprojektuota vandentiekio linija. Archeologiškai buvo ištirtas plotas 1 bei tranšėja, plotas 2 tik žvalgytas, kadangi sluoksniai jame sunaikinti anksčiau paklotų komunikaciją. Bendras tirtas plotas siekė apie 120 m2 [p. 335].

ENIn 2006 an excavation was conducted in Klaipėda Old Town at the site of the water main route beside Pilies St., where a total area of 120 m² was excavated. Fragments of the foundations of three 19th century buildings, which could have belonged to a former linen warehouse, were discovered in the excavated section and trench. A fragment of a fence or shore wall (reinforcement), which could date to the middle to second half of the 17th century, was discovered in the same section, only deeper. It is possible to think that the charred remains of a wooden construction are a consequence of the 1678 fire. Various household pottery, stove tiles, glass, and leather artefact fragments were collected during the excavation and date to the late 17th – early 18th century.
