Tyrinėjimai Žvejų g. 4, 6

LT2006 m. Klaipėdoje, Žvejų g. 4, 6 sklypuose vyko archeologiniai tyrimai. Tyrimų tikslas buvo ištirti vietą, kurioje planuojama statyti pastatus. Tyrimų metu ištirti 9 plotai 1–9, bendras tyrimų plotas siekia 1000 m2. Tyrimų vietoje fiksuotas iki 2 m storio kultūrinis sluoksnis, kuriame galima išskirti 4 horizontus: 1 – XVI a. pabaigos – XVII a. pradžios; 2 – XVII– XVIII a.; 3 – XVIII a. pabaigos – XIX a. pirmos pusės; 4 – XIX a. vidurio – XX a. Tyrimų metu aptikta ir registruota per 5000 archeologinių radinių, kurie datuojami XVI a. pabaiga – XX a. Dauguma radinių yra molinių, fajansinių ir porcelianinių indų šukės, kokliai ir jų dalys, kaolininių pypkių fragmentai, stikliniai buteliai ir jų duženos [p. 332].

ENIn 2006, 9 sections (with a total area of 1000 m2) were excavated in Klaipėda on the lots at Žvejų St. 4, 6. A cultural layer up to 2 m thick, which is divided into 4 horizons: 1 – late 16th – early 17th century; 2 – 17th–18th century; 3 – late 18th – 1st half of the 19th century; and 4 – mid-19th – 20th century, were discovered at the excavation sites. Over 5000 finds from this period were registered, the majority being clay, faience, and porcelain dish sherds, stove tiles and sherds of them, kaolin pipe fragments, and glass bottles and shards of them. The remains of a pole construction building were assigned to the city’s first development dating to the late 17th – early 18th century. The excavation site on the boundaries of the lot was finally developed in the late 18th century. During the excavation 8 storage and waste pits, two of which contained slaked lime, were discovered beside the buildings. In one such pit were discovered over 10 cast iron artillery projectiles of 3 different calibres that are connected with mid-18th military events.
