Kulių bažnytinių pastatų kompleksas

LTPlanuojant Kulių bažnytinių pastatų komplekso (G 449K) (Plungės r., Kulių miestelis, J. Tumo-Vaižganto g. 2) privatizavimą, jų vertingųjų savybių nustatymą, apskaitos dokumentacijos parengimą, būsimus žemės ir statybos darbus, IĮ „Senų senovė“ vykdė komplekso pastatų (R pastato 1 ir Š pastato 2) istorinius (Kazys Misius), architektūrinius žvalgomuosius (Rita Vėlyvienė) ir archeologinius tyrinėjimus. Siekiant nustatyti Kulių gyvenvietės kilmę, žvalgytos ir jų apylinkės (Mažieji Mostaičiai ir kt.) [p. 243].

ENIn the vicinity of a stone and brick house, which was built in 1780 and intended for the church’s servants and kitchen, and of a twostory red brick rectory built in 1790 in the vicinity of the Kuliai (Plungė Dist.) church, a total area of 31 m2 was excavated and a 0.96– 1.3 m thick cultural layer discovered. In it was found a silver 1825 Prussian coin, a 19th century button from a postal worker or an official of the Province of Moscow (Kamianets-Podolskyi), sherds of thrown pots and other vessels (some of them glazed), fragments of roof tiles as well as flat and ‘pot-shaped’ (Topfkachel) oven tiles (some with green and light brown glaze), and handmade nails. The finds date to the 17th (16th?) – 19th centuries.
