Kruonio dvarvietė

LTPirmieji žvalgomieji archeologiniai tyrinėjimai Kruonio dvarvietėje buvo atlikti 2004 m. Tyrinėjimų metu buvo ištirtas 17,4 m2 plotas (ATL 2004 metais, V., 2006, p. 163–166). Kaišiadorių savivaldybei skyrus lėšų, archeologiniai tyrinėjimai buvo pratęsti 2005 m. Archeologinių tyrinėjimų metu buvusių dvaro rūmų V pusėje buvo iškastos 6 įvairaus dydžio perkasos ir ištirtas 47,6 m2 plotas, nustatytas preliminarus Kruonio dvaro rūmų planas (ATL 2005 metais, V., 2006, p. 196–202). 2006 m. dvarvietės archeologinių tyrinėjimų metu buvo iškastos 5 perkasos (bendras 67,6 m2 plotas), radiniai perduoti KŠM. Tyrinėjimų metu ieškota įėjimo į pirmojo mūrinio dvaro rūmų rūsį, siekta nustatyti dvaro priestato vidinių pertvarų vietas, kultūrinio sluoksnio stratigrafiją ir chronologiją dvarvietės V dalyje [p. 230].

ENIn 2006 5 trenches (with a total area of 67.6 m2) were excavated during an excavation at the Kruonis manor site (Kaišiadorys Dist.). Trenches 10–12 were excavated at the site of the former manor house. In further excavating the remains of the manor house, one more basement was found in the S part of the addition as well as a basement stairwell shaft. They failed to find the entrance to the basement of the original manor house. Trench 13 was excavated to the E of the original manor house in a unsuccessful effort to locate the site of a wall discovered in 1974. Trench 14 was excavated to the W of the manor house on privately controlled land in order to establish the thickness and chronology of the cultural layer that formed here. Only a cultural layer, which was up to 45 cm thick, and two garbage pits, which contained a large quantity of finds dating to the mid-16th – 1st half of the 17th century, were found at this site.
