LT2006 m. tęsti (rasta 2004 m., tyrinėjimai tęsti 2005 m.) (ATL 2004 metais, V., 2006, p. 156–161; ATL 2005 metais, V., 2006, p. 242–243) tyrinėjimai senojoje Joniškio dvarvietėje (KU, IĮ „Senų senovė“). Jų metu Žemaičių g. 9 (šurfai 16–19, plotas 2), tarp Žemaičių g. 11 ir Vilniaus g. 14A, ištirtas 67,5 m2 plotas (šurfai 20–24, plotas 2), Vilniaus g. 14A – 13 m2 plotas (šurfai 25–26). Ištirtas bendras 80,5 m2 plotas. Buvo iškasta 13 šurfų, ištirtas plotas 2 ir trasa 2 [p. 225-226].

ENThe excavations at the old Joniškis manor site continued in 2006. A total area of 80.5 m2 was excavated during them. 13 test pits, 1 trench, and section 2 were excavated. The plan of the territory of the old Joniškis 16th–18th century manor site was revised to the S, N, and SE. The foundations of buildings from the 17th century and the late 19th – 1st half of the 20th century, stone paving, 2 storage pits (?), other stone constructions, and the remains of a 17th–18th century wooden building destroyed by fire were found. The collected finds included: sherds of 17th century traditional local (reduction) and oxidation fired glazed and unglazed ceramic tiles and ‘potshaped’ oven tiles, stone and slate whetstones, a bronze inlay for a button or ring, handmade iron nails, an iron heel plate, a Dutch white kaolin pipe stem, copper shillings of John II Casimir of Poland (16??) and Lithuania (1665), an öre of Charles XI of Sweden (16??), a 16th–17th century lower quern stone, and animal bones.
