Vilniaus Žemutinės pilies pietinės dalies bei Valdovų rūmų pietinio korpuso 2004-2006 m. tyrimai

LTNuo 2002 m. prasidėjusiems Valdovų rūmų atstatymo darbams įsibėgėjus, didėjo ir archeologinių bei architektūrinių tyrimų apimtys. Kadangi rūmų atstatymas prasidėjo nuo P korpuso, jo išorėje 2002–2003 m. buvo iškasti plotai 4–5 ir 7–8. Nuo 2004 m. tyrimai palei P korpusą tęsti toliau [p. 183].

ENArchaeological excavations took place during 2004–2006 in the S building and S of it in an area of about 2000 m2. The remains of about twenty 14th–19th century brick structures were found. A cross-section was made of the cultural layers between the walls of the lower castle and the royal palace. About 30 000 finds were discovered during the excavations. About 800 wood samples were also taken for dendrochronological analysis.
