Tyrinėjimai Aguonų g. 10, Vilniuje

LT2006 m. vykdyti archeologiniai tyrinëjimai Vilniuje, Aguonų g. 10, buvusios staklių gamyklos ,,Komunaras“ teritorijoje. Ištirtas 480 m2 plotas, aptiktas iki šiol Vilniaus miesto archeologinëje medžiagoje nežfiksuotas senkapis.Archeologinių tyrinëjimų metu rasti 109 kapai, juose aptikta 150 individų skeletų ar jų fragmentų. Tarp jų 56 vyrai, 35 moterys, 32 vaikai, 12 naujagimių ir 9 paaugliai. Šešių individų amžius ir lytis liko neidentifikuoti. Įkapių rasta nedaug. Įdomiausias radinys –XV a. – XVI a. pradžia datuojama puošni odinë piniginë su apkalëliais ir sagtimis (kapas 16, skeletas II). Taip pat rasti trijų geležinių peilių fragmentai, trys smeigtukai, dvi geležinës diržų sagtys, du variniai žiedai, geležinių žirklių fragmentas, LDK Aleksandro (1492–1506 m.) denaras (kapas 94 skeletas II)). Pagal kapuose aptiktas įkapes galima daryti prielaidą, jog šioje kalvoje buvo laidota XV–XVI a. [...] [p. 178-179].

ENIn 2006 excavations were conducted in Vilnius at Aguonų St. 10. An area of 480 m2 was excavated during them. An old cemetery was found on top of the high sandy hill. In the cemetery were found 109 burials, in which were discovered the skeletons or partial skeletons of 150 individuals. Some of the individuals had been buried in coffins. In addition, many bones from destroyed graves were collected. It was established that they belonged to at least 110 people. After performing an anthropological analysis of the discovered bones, many cases of joint inflammation and healed broken bones were established. The individuals had been buried in various directions. The prevalent direction was with the head to the SW and W. According to the grave goods discovered in the graves (a leather purse with metal plates and buttons, knife fragments, pins, belt buckles, rings, a scissor fragment, and a penny (denarius) of Grand Duke Alexander of Lithuania), it is possible to draw the conclusion that they were buried on the hill in the 15th–16th centuries.
