Ažušilės pilkapynas

LT2006 m. ištirtas pilkapis 11, buvęs į PV nuo 2002 m. tyrinëto pilkapio 5. Šis sampilas aptiktas 2002 m. ekspedicijos metu, kai buvo išþvalgyta pilkapyno teritorijos V dalis ir aptikti dar 8 iki tol nežinoti sulëkštëję ir apardyti pilkapiai. Pilkapio 11 Š dalis nuardyta mineralizuojant miško kvartalinę liniją, jo sampilas sulëkštintas ariant ir sodinant mišką. Prieš tyrinëjimus sampilo aukštis tebuvo 0,30,4 m, o jo išlikæs skersmuo buvo apie 9x7 m. Jokių duobių ar griovių žymių aplink sampilą nebuvo matyti. ENDisturbed barrow 11 in Ažušilė barrow cemetery (Ignalina Dist.) was investigated in 2006. The barrow was 8x7.5 m in diameter. Ditches ringed it on the E, S, and W while there were two oval pits on the N. The barrow probably contained two cremation burials, which were completely destroyed in ploughing and planting the forest. Cremated bones and grave goods: two bronze bracelets with triangular cross-sections, one flat bronze bracelet, two neck ring fragments, a penannular brooch, coil beads, and an iron knife were collected in ploughed soil. According to the artefacts that were found, the barrow should be dated to the 10th–11th centuries.
