LTProjekte „Lazdijų rajono ir Punsko valsčiaus savivaldybių kultûros paveldo objektų pritaikymas turizmo plëtrai“ 2006 m. devyniuose kultûros paveldo objektuose buvo numatoma įrengti naują, kitur renovuoti esamą turizmo infrastruktûrą, padedančią išsaugoti ir tinkamai panaudoti regiono kultûros paveldą. Siekiant, kad kultûrinis sluoksnis nebûtų sužalotas bûsimų žemës judinimo darbų metu, bûsimose turizmo infrastruktûros vietose buvo atliekami žvalgomieji archeologiniai tyrimai. [...] [p. 86].
ENIn 2006, in connection with the implementation of a Lithuanian – Polish tourism development project, evaluations were made of the territories of 3 Lazdijai District hill fort sites and the settlements at their feet. An area of 7 m2 was excavated in the territory of the Paveisininkai hill fort site and settlement. In test pit 6 a 10–20 cm thick cultural layer was recorded and a hand built pottery sherd was found. An area of 5 m2 was excavated in the territory of the Prelomciškë hill fort site and settlement. In test pits 1 and 4 a cultural layer was discovered and 13 hand built pottery sherds found. An area of 7 m2 was excavated in the territory of the Rudamina hill fort site and settlement but no archaeologically valuable layer, finds, or objects were discovered.
