Lietuvos laisvės kovotojų palaikų tyrimai Lazdijuose

LT2022 m. Lietuvos gyventojų genocido ir rezistencijos tyrimų centro užsakymu KVGT Lazdijuose, sklypuose Dzūkų g. 13 ir Vytauto g. 20, atliko Lietuvos laisvės kovotojų palaikų užkasimo vietų paiešką. Ji inicijuota siekiant patikrinti iš žodinių duomenų vietos gyventojų apytikriai nurodytą galimą palaikų užkasimo teritoriją. Visų pirma atlikti geofizikiniai tyrimai, identifikuotos anomalijos, būdingos palaikų užkasimo duobėms; duobės patikrintos archeologiniais metodais - detaliaisiais tyrimais. NKVD būstinė buvusi pastate Vytauto g. 18, Lazdijuose, šiuo metu čia naujai perkeltas Laisvės kovų muziejus [p. 533].

ENThe 2022 excavation (6 trenches totalling 53.8 m2) was conducted down to sterile soil at Dzūkų St. 13 and Vytauto St. 20 in Lazdijai. At a depth of up to 30 cm, the fill soil in Trench 6 at Dzūkų St. 13 yielded small isolated human bone fragments belonging to one individual. It is likely that the remains buried in close proximity to the stream had been partially or fully destroyed during streambank management work. Trench 2 at Vytauto St. 20 yielded the remains of 2 Lithuanian post-war partisans: Remains 1 of a 25-35-year-old male; Remains 2 of a 17-20-year-old male. The remains had been buried in a rubbish pit, had lesions, and were together with 2 Lithuanian uniform Vytis buttons. Based on the 3-kopek coin found in the pit, the remains had been buried no earlier than 1946. The lesions identified by the anthropological analysis, due to missing bone fragments, were insufficient to allow their precise cause to be identified, but the positions of the broken bones recorded in situ and the bone pieces would tend to show that such lesions were the consequence of interrogation or torture.
