"Rail Baltica" trasos Užnemunėje žvalgymai 2021 m

LT2021 m. kovą-balandį buvo atliekami žvalgymai 4 koncepcinių alternatyvų 3a, 6a, 1,2 trasų teritorijoje pagal pateiktą projekto „Rail Baltica“ geležinkelio linijos atkarpoje Lenkijos ir Lietuvos valstybių siena ir Jiesios modernizavimo susisiekimo komunikacijų inžinerinės infrastruktūros vystymo planą. Žvalgymų tikslas buvo įvertinti alternatyvių geležinkelio linijų vietas archeologinio paveldo požiūriu: surinkti informaciją apie nežinomus ir tikėtinus archeologinius objektus bei radinius, juos lokalizuoti ir pateikti siūlymus dėl archeologinių tyrimų tolesniuose projekto „Rail Baltica“ vystymo etapuose [p. 455].

ENThe 2021 field survey of 4 possible route alternatives: 3a, 6a, 1, and 2 in the section of the planned Rail Baltica route between the Polish-Lithuanian border and Jiesia (Kalvarija, Kazlų Rūda, Kaunas, Marijampolė, and Prienai Municipalities, SW Lithuania) identified 117 locations, where field evaluations would need to be conducted prior to construction work. The 144 identified find spots yielded 101 sherds of thrown pottery, 72 of partly thrown pottery, 5 of hand-built pottery, and 3 of indeterminant pottery, 5 glass shards, 3 stove tile fragments, 3 pieces of plaster, 1 nail, 1 Imperial Russian coin, 2 spent cartridges, 8 flint blades, 3 cores, 50 flint flakes, and 3 other flint artefacts. Larger find concentrations were recorded at 6 objects: Jusevičiai, Pentupiai, and Santaka village sites, Pakeklys farm site, Raudeniškiai old settlement (proposed), and Rudelė Stone Age settlement.
