Bazilijonų gatvė 3

LT2022 m. spalį - 2023 m. gegužę TO tęsė 2021 m. vykdytus archeologinius tyrimus Bazilijonų g. 3. Pagrindinis detaliųjų tyrimų tikslas buvo iki įžemio ištirti archeologinį sluoksnį, į įžemį įgilintus objektus, o numatomose inžinerinių tinklų įrengimo ir renovacijos vietose patikslinti ir nustatyti, ar iki numatomo projektinio statybos darbų gylio esama archeologijos vertybių, ar bus pasiektas archeologinio sluoksnio kraigas, ar esama galimų nekilnojamųjų vertingųjų savybių, archeologinių radinių. Archeologinių tyrimų metu sklype Bazilijonų g. 3, sklypo prieigose, Bazilijonų gatvės atkarpoje prie Aušros vartų, ištirta 11 skirtingo dydžio perkasų. Detaliųjų tyrimų metu ištirtas 774 m2 plotas, o inžinerinių tinklų įrengimo ir renovacijos vietose žvalgytas 69 m2 plotas [p. 379].

ENIn 2022-2023, detailed excavations were carried out at 3 Bazilijonų St. and its surroundings, situated in the historical suburb of the Gates of Dawn in Vilnius, covering an area of 774 m2. Archaeological layers ranging from the 16th to the 20th centuries were recorded and investigated. A large quantity of archaeological finds dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries was found, mostly comprised of fragments of household pottery and stove tiles, as well as animal bones and metal artefacts consisting mostly of 17th-century coins. During the survey of the areas where the engineering networks were being installed (69 m2 total), 19th- and 20th-century fills were recorded. The detailed excavation revealed fragments of antique structures: the remains of brick and wooden buildings dating from the 18th to the 20th centuries; and the remains of two 18th-century wellslined with wooden planks. The research carried out in 2022-2023 provided new insights into the 18th- and 19th-century build-up and development of the suburb in the S part of Vilnius Old Town.
