Laisvės aikštė 26A
LT2022 m. žvalgomieji tyrimai atlikti Panevėžio miesto istorinėje dalyje, sklype Laisvės aikštė 26, projektuojamos automobilių aikštelės vietoje. Žvalgomųjų tyrimų metu buvo ištirti 4 šurfai, iš viso 9 m2 plotas. Sklype anksčiau archeologiniai tyrimai nevykdyti, bet nemažai tyrinėta Laisvės aikštė ir jos prieigos bei greta esančios gatvės - Elektros, Kranto, Respublikos, Vasario 16-osios. Tyrimai vyko 20072021 m [p. 348].
ENThe 2022 field evaluation (4 test pits totalling 9 m2) at a planned car park site at Laisvės Sq. 26, Panevėžys revealed, in Test Pits 1, 2, and 4, late 19th - first half of the 20th-century courtyard paving created from smallstones, in Test Pit 1 a 45 cm thick, 19th-century and a 24 cm thick, 18th-century cultural layer, in Test Pit 2, a 40 cm thick, 19th-century and a 20 cm thick, 18th-century cultural layer, in Test Pit 3, a 45 cm thick, 19th-century, a 55 cm thick, rich 18th-century, and a 20 cm thick, 17th-century cultural layer, and in Test Pit 4, a 35 cm thick, 19th-century and a 20 cm thick, second half of the 17th-18th-century cultural layer. The investigation yielded a total of 90 finds (17th-20th century): a pipe, potsherds, glassware shards, leather footwear fragments, a postal seal, a coin, stove tile pieces, and animal bones. Sterile soil was reached at a depth of 1.1-1.7 m.
