Kranto gatvė 12-19

LTPanevėžio miesto istorinėje dalyje (UK 31872), Kranto g. 12-19, atkarpoje ties automobilių stovėjimo aikštelės vieta, 2022 m. atlikti detalieji tyrimai. 2021 m. šioje vietoje atlikus žvalgymus buvo atidengtas XVIII-XIX a. akmeninis pastato pamato fragmentas. Dėl to Panevėžio miesto savivaldybės administracija inicijavo atlikti šios vietos detaliuosius tyrimus. Kranto gatvė patenka į centrinę miesto dalį (Panevėžio miesto istorinė dalis) - Naująjį Panevėžį [p. 345].

ENAn excavation was conducted at Kranto St. 12-19 in the historical part of the city of Panevėžys. At a depth of 31-34 cm, Trench 1 yielded a 4.3 m long N-S, 1.4 m long E-W, and 67 cm wide strip foundation made of 2-3 rows of stones bound with lime and a layer of clay containing gravel, the larger gaps filled with small pieces of burnt brick. It was determined that the foundation dates to the early- second half of the 19th century and that a wooden building had stood at the site, its interior occupying the trench’s SW edge. A 30 cm thick, 18th-19th-century cultural layer was identified throughout the trench. The investigation yielded finds: a coin, a knife blade, sherds of ceramic vessels, glassware shards, an inkwell, fragments of a stove tile, window glass shards, nails, part of a copper alloy candlestick, and brick chips.
