LTŠis straipsnis yra apie būsimųjų bendrosios praktikos slaugytojų dvasingumą. Dvasinė parama yra svarbi ne tik pacientams, bet ir jų šeimoms, kurios patiria netekties ir baimės jausmus. Psichologinės ir dvasinės problemos yra glaudžiai susijusios: mirštančiojo artimieji dažnai patiria baimę ir nežinomybę (Ferrell, 2017). Svarbu, kad slaugytojai būtų pasiruošę teikti pacientams ir jų artimiesiems dvasinę pagalbą, išklausyti ir pasikalbėti su pacientais, teikti jiems paramą, juos nuraminti. Dvasingumas ir pacientų dvasiniai poreikiai tampa svarbia gyvenimo kokybės dalimi, o dvasinės problemos vis labiau pripažįstamos kaip būtinas mokslinių tyrinėjimų objektas. Daugeliui žmonių religija, asmeniniai įsitikinimai bei dvasingumas yra paguodos, gerovės, saugumo, prasmės, tikslo ir stiprybės šaltinis (Luneckaitė, 2019). Tyrimo metodologija – mokslinės literatūros analizė, kiekybinis tyrimas, statistinė tyrimo duomenų analizė. Siekiant išsiaiškinti, kaip būsimieji slaugytojai supranta dvasingumą buvo sudarytas specialus klausimynas, kurį užpildė 54 X kolegijos III kurso studentai – būsimieji bendrosios praktikos slaugytojai. In historical sources, it is described in the nursing profession how to care for humanity, the most important duty is to restore harmony between mind, body, and soul. The nurse must be the spiritual care provider in the patient's life from the beginning to the end of life. It is important for the nurse to be confident and prepared to face uncomfortable questions with the patient and relatives, regardless of their beliefs or religion. Encountering a patient before death often has negative effects, not only on the patient's health, but also on the nurse himself, various negative emotions such as resentment and anger often appear, so to suppress them it is important to accumulate positive thoughts that lead to spirituality.Spiritual support is important not only for patients but also for their families who are experiencing feelings of loss and fear. Psychological and spiritual problems are related to the close relatives of the dying: they often experience fear and ignorance. For many people, religion, personal beliefs, and spirituality are a source of comfort, well-being, security, meaning, purpose, and strength. Spirituality and confident spiritual needs are becoming an important part of the quality of life, and spiritual issues are increasingly recognized as a necessary object of scientific research. However, scientific sources and their studies show that nurses are not ready to provide spiritual help to patients, they do not have practical, theoretical knowledge, confidence to meet the spiritual needs of the sick.
