LT2022 m. Kėdainių senamiesčio (UK 16074) ir senojo miesto archeologinės vietovės (UK 5148) teritorijose, sklype Didžioji g. 60, prieš darbus elektros trasos vietoje atlikti žvalgomieji tyrimai, kurių metu ištirti 4 šurfai (16 m2 bendro ploto) [p. 295].
ENThe 2022 field evaluation (4 test pits totalling 16 m2) at the site of an electric main trench at Didžioji St. 60 in Kėdainiai Old Town revealed at a depth of 1-2 m in Test Pit 2 a 17th-century cultural layer containing sherds of household pottery. Clearer dating ofits upper part (to a depth of 1.5 m) was possible on the basis of a coin found at a depth of 1.5 m: a 166(?) John II Casimir shilling. The dark grey soil layer to a depth of 1.9-2 m was dated to the first half of the 17th century. At a depth of 0.9-1.75 m, Test Pit 3 yielded a dark grey soil layer containing sherds of household pottery and several sherds of stove tiles with a cloudy green glaze as well as a 1666 John II Casimir shilling and 1650 Riga Christina shilling. Based on these finds, the layer was dated to the second half of the 17th century. The mixed brown gravel layer recorded at a depth of 1.7-1.9 m contained sherds of household pottery and a sherd from a lattice stove tile (Gitterkachel), on the basis of which, this part of the layer should be ascribed to the late 16th - first half of the 17th century.
