Tyrimai Eišiškėse

LT2022 m. buvo atlikti detalieji tyrimai Eišiškių miesto (Šalčininkų r.) saugomoje teritorijoje (UK 17079), P. Cvirkos, Gegužės 3-iosios, Ligoninės, Raubiškių, Rodūnės, Tyliosios, Turgaus, Vasario 16-osios ir Vilniaus gatvėse, planuojamų įrengti vandentiekio ir buitinės nuotekynės tinklų trasų vietose [p. 277].

ENThe 2022 excavation (208.31 m2) at the site of planned water main and household sewer lines on P. Cvirkos, Gegužės 3-osios, Ligoninės, Raubiškių, Rodūnės, Tyliosios, Turgaus, Vasario 16-osios, and Vilniaus Streets in Eišiškės (Šalčininkai District, SE Lithuania) yielded a 0.6-2.3 m thick cultural layer. The utility trenches on P. Cvirkos, Ligoninės, Tyliosios, and Vasario 16-osios Streets were created in the late 19th or 20th-century and the test pits along them yielded a mixed 19th-20th-century cultural layer. The NW segment on Turgaus Street had formed in the second half of the 19th century. Only Test Pits 53 and 54 contained a 25-55 cm thick archaeological layer with 16th-18th-century finds. The NE segment on Raubiškių Street from Turgaus Square to Raubiškių St. 21 produced a 16th-19th-century cultural layer with sparse finds, the segment on the rest of the street to Raubiškių St. 50 neither an archaeological layer nor any finds, and those on Vilniaus and Rodūnės Streets a very disturbed 16th-20th-century archaeological layer with finds and street paving elements.
