Summary / Abstract:

LT2022 m. balandį-birželį atlikti nedidelės apimties detalieji tyrimai, susiję su numatomais šventoriaus tvoros ŠR, PR dalių tvarkybos sprendiniais. Jų metu rankiniu būdu iki įžemio ištirtos dvi 4 x 2,5 ir 6 x 2 m dydžio perkasos 1, 2 ir vienas 2 x 2 m dydžio šurfas. Iš viso ištirtas 26 m2 plotas [p. 248].

ENThe 2022 small-scale excavation (2 trenches and 1 test pit totalling 26 m2) down to sterile soil in the churchyard of the church in Seda (Mažeikiai District, NW Lithuania) revealed 17th-20th-century cultural layers up to 1.25 m thick that contained contemporaneous finds: crosses, medals (medallions), sherds of household pottery, and animal bones as well as, in Trench 2, a fragment of the foundation of an earlier church fence from the early 19th century.
