Summary / Abstract:

LTVilniaus mieste, šalia pastato, esančio Arsenalo g. 1, jo ŠV fasado pusėje, 2022 m. buvo vykdyti archeologiniai tyrimai, kurių metu tirta 188,7 m ilgio, iki 0,9-1,4 m gylio ir 1,2-2 m pločio tranšėja - iš viso 266 m2 plotas. Teritorija, kurioje buvo vykdomi tyrimai, pradėjo formuotis XIII-XIV a. kaip Vilniaus Žemutinės pilies dalis. [Iš teksto, p. 169]

ENIn 2022, an excavation was conducted along the NW facade of the building at 1 Arsenalo St. in Vilnius, covering an area of 266 m2. The excavation revealed redeposited fills dating to the 19th-20th centuries, with 17th- and 20th-century finds. On the SW side of the building, a layer of black soil with organic matter, up to 15 cm thick, was recorded at a depth of 1.2 m to 1.3-1.35 m. It yielded several nails, pottery sherds, a shard ofa green-glazed stove tile, and one fragment of a white ceramic tankard (?). These finds date back to the 16th-18th centuries. Above, a pavement comprised of stone and brick rubble - designated G2 - was discovered, and was dated to the end of the 18th to the 19th century. Other structures were dated to the 19th-20th centuries. G1 is a fragment of the Arsenalo Street pavement from the beginning of the 19th century (Habs = 90.50-90.66 m); structure М3 is a concrete foundation of a civil engineering structure dating from the 1930s (Habs = 91.2891.53 m); and structures M1 and М2 are the pile foundations of a structure dating to the first half of the 20th century (Habs = 91.3791.43 m). The excavations yielded finds from the 16th to the 20th centuries: sherds of ceramic vessels; stove tile and roof tile fragments; fragments of ammunition; items of clothing; fragments of two First World War tokens; fragments of household implements; lead seals and alloys; coins; and slag.
