LT2022 m. Algirdo g. 48C sklype prieš numatytus statybos darbus vykdyti archeologiniai tyrimai. Didelės apimties tyrimai sklype pradėti 2021 m. I. Čičiurkaitės, jų metu ištirtas 2100,4 m2 plotas, aptikta 150 kapų su 232 palaikais, rastas fragmentiškai išlikęs XVII-XVIII a. sluoksnis (ATL 2021 metais, 2022, p. 118-125). 2022 m. detalieji tyrimai sklype pratęsti, ištirtas bendras 3517,5 m2 plotas (perkasos 4-11) [p. 141].
ENIn 2022, the excavation that commenced in 2021 at the land plot of 48C Algirdo St. in Vilnius was expanded to encompass a total area of 3,517.5 m2 (Trenches 4-11). The site contained fills ranging from 40 cm to 3 m thick, which yielded finds from the second half of the 17th to the end of the 20th century. A fragmented stratigraphic layer with pottery and animal bones from the second half of the 17th to the beginning of the 19th century was identified. Numerous features cut into the sterile soil were also uncovered: midden pits filled with finds and organics from the 17th to the 19th centuries; 16 rectangular and circular postholes with wood remains; and 386 graves. The excavation of the graves yielded 575 sets of human remains that were recorded and removed. The burials range from the second half of the 18th century to the end of the 19th century. A total of 1,400 individual finds were recovered and catalogued, the majority of which consisted of fragments of stove tiles and household pottery typical of the second half of the 17th to the 19th centuries.
