Šiaulių kapinynas

LT2022 m. Šiauliuose buvo taisoma Vaisių gatvė, kurios 84 m ilgio atkarpa patenka į Šiaulių kapinyno (UK 27096) teritoriją. Šioje vietoje buvo atlikti detalieji archeologiniai tyrimai, jų metu ištirta 13 perkasų (24-44 m2 dydžio), iš viso ištirtas 425 m2 plotas. Į ŠR ir į PV nuo kapinyno teritorijos žvalgyti 2 plotai, iš viso žvalgytas bendras 250 m2 plotas [p. 118].

ENIn 2022, 13 trenches (425 m2) were excavated in Šiauliai cemetery (in Šiauliai). Trench 8 contained the disintegrated remnants of a grave (designated Burial 17) and a fragment of a 7th-8th-century silver-plated copper-alloy cruciform pin with disc terminals on each crossarm. Trench 3 yielded a human ulna and a radial bone fragment, whereas the field survey yielded fragments of long bones. The NW edge of the cemetery may have been scarcely used, and was destroyed by utility works in the mid-20th century. Archaeological excavations between 1961 and 2009 revealed a total of 18 burials dated to the 4th-5th centuries. The newly discovered pin extends the cemetery occupation period to the 7th-8th centuries.
