Tyrinėjimai reprezentacinio statinių komplekso teritorijoje

LT2008 m. buvo tęsiami 1995 m. pradėti archeologiniai tyrinėjimai reprezentacinio Vilniaus statinių komplekso (unikalus objekto kodas 751) teritorijoje (S. Daukanto aikštė 3, Universiteto g. 6, Totorių g. 28). Tyrinėjimai buvo susiję su šio komplekso pritaikymu Lietuvos Respublikos Prezidento rezidencijai. Juos vykdė APC "Antiqua“. Archeologiniai tyrinėjimai atlikti rūmų parko PR pakraštyje ir muziejinės, ūkinės dalies bei rezervinės automobilių stovėjimo aikštelės vietoje. Naujo korpuso statybos vietoje ištirti 3 plotai 27A–C (plotų numeracija tęstinė). Bendras tyrinėjimų plotas – 93 m² [p. 440].

ENIn 2008, 93 m2 was investigated during an excavation conducted on the grounds of a representative complex of structures (at S. Daukantoa. 3, Universiteto St. 6, and Totorių St. 28). A wooden building construction dating to the second half of the 17th century and a fragment of the masonry foundation from a 17th–18th-century structure were discovered in area 27A. A masonry 17th–18th-century (industrial) construction and a storage pit from the first half of the 16th century were discovered in area 27B. A fragment of a masonry fence from the late 19th – first half of the 20th century was unearthed in area 27C. The thickness of the cultural layer in the three investigated areas is up to 3.1 m. Its lower horizons date to the late 15th – early 16th-century. Various finds: wooden, leather, metal, and glass artefacts as well as sherds of structural and household ceramics were discovered during the excavation.
