Tyrinėjimai S. Skapo g. 6

LT2008 m. Vilniaus senamiestyje, S. Skapo g. 6, vykdyti žvalgomieji archeologiniai tyrinėjimai ir archeologiniai tyrinėjimai. Jų metu pastato Š dalyje, įrengiamo rūsio vietoje, ištirtas 45 m² plotas. Tyrinėjimų metu aptiktas ir ištirtas iki 2,5 m storio kultūrinis sluoksnis [p. 416-417].

ENDuring the field evaluation and excavation in the part of the building at S. Skapo St. 6, Vilnius, 45 m2 was excavated at a basement renovation site. A cultural layer up to 2.5 m thick was discovered. Its horizons consist of fill with rubble, fragments of lime mortar, rotten wood, and clay inclusions. Sherds of wheel thrown glazed and unglazed household pottery, fragments of individual 17th–19th-century stove tiles, 17th–18th-century coins, and an infantryman’s button from Napoleon’s Grande Armée were found. Sterile soil was not reached. A 2.2 x 2.5 m stove base was recorded at a depth of 1.7 m in the part of the area. Fragments of late 18th–19th-century stove tiles were discovered in its vicinity. Fragments of an interior building wall from the first half – middle of the 19th century were discovered in the centre of the area.
