Žvalgomieji tyrinėjimai ir žvalgymai T. Kosciuškos g. 10-12

LT2008 m. vykdyti žvalgomieji archeologiniai tyrinėjimai ir žvalgymai Vilniaus senamiestyje (A1610K1), sklype T. Kosciuškos g. 10–12 (buvusių Sluškų rūmų aplinkoje). Darbai buvo susiję su senų komunikacijų ir vandentiekio sistemų sklype pakeitimu ir naujų įrengimu bei kiemo tvarkymu. Ištirti 8 šurfai (2 x 2 m dydžio, iš viso 32 m2) (žvalgomieji archeologiniai tyrinėjimai) ir 12 perkasų (bendro 485 m2 ploto) (archeologiniai žvalgymai). Iš viso tyrinėta ir žvalgyta apie 500 m2 teritorija [p. 402-403].

ENIn 2008 a survey and evaluation were conducted at T. Kosciuškos St. 10–12 (in the vicinity of the former Sluška palace). The work was connected with replacing the communications and water main systems on the plot and putting the courtyard in order. 8 test pits (a total area of 32 m2) and 12 trenches were excavated. A total area of around 500 m2 was surveyed and evaluated. A 17th–20th century cultural layer was recorded. A layer of dark grey soil with rubble that should be connected to the construction of the Sluška palace at the turn of the 18th century was discovered in some of the test pits and trenches. A layer of black peaty soil, which contained rotten wood but no finds, was recorded under that. This is a horizon from a former bog. Fragments of early 20th-century stone paving were discovered in test pits in the S part of the plot near T. Kosciuškos St. A layer of dense rubble dating to the period prior to 1655 (the war with Moscow) was also recorded.
