LT2008 m. vykdyti archeologiniai tyrimai Kernavės senamiesčio II vietoje, privačiame sklype Gedimino g. 1. Iš viso ištirtas 85,5 m2 plotas – 6 x 14 m perkasa su ŠR sienelėje padaryta 1 x 1,5 m dydžio išpjova [p. 330].
ENIn 2008, due to plans to erect a new building, an excavation (a total of 85.8 m2) was conducted at Gedimino St. 1 in Kernavė Old Town II (Širvintos District). The entire cultural layer, except in the area’s N corner, had been disturbed. In addition, two postholes and four pits were discovered. The cultural layer as well as the pits and upper mixed layer contained wheel thrown pottery, clay daub, bones, and metal artefacts: a bronze bracelet, a pendant, two pieces of Lithuanian silver rods, etc. These artefacts date to the 14th century.
