Anykščių dvarvietės PR dalis

LT2008 m. liepos pabaigoje – spalio pradžioje Anykščių dvarvietės (AR 1881) P dalyje buvusio Anykščių gimnazijos pastato (paskutiniu metu Anykščių regioninio parko direkcijos – J. Biliūno g. 55) vietoje bei jo aplinkoje atlikti archeologiniai tyrinėjimai. Jie pratęsė 2007 m. pradėtus šios dvarvietės vietos tyrinėjimus, kai šurfais buvo nustatytas čia esančio kultūrinio sluoksnio intensyvumas ir chronologija (žr. ATL 2007 metais, V., 2008, p. 271–273). Dvarvietės tyrimai susidėjo iš 3 dalių: pastato, komunikacinių trasų į ŠR nuo pastato ir kelių bei stovėjimo aikštelių vietų tyrimų [p. 259].

ENIn 2008, a total area of 450.45 m2 (18 trenches and 13 test pits) was excavated in the part of the Anykščiai manor site (the city of Anykščiai) at the site of the building being reconstructed at J. Biliūno St. 55 and in its vicinity. 337.95 m2 was excavated in trenches at the building site and a 17th–20th-century cultural layer was discovered with contemporary finds (the majority stove tiles, pottery, glass shards, and iron nails) and gravel mining pits. Only 20th-century layers existed in the 97.05 m2 that were surveyed. In the four trenches (a total area of 100.5 m2) excavated between the building and Dvaro Street, a 60–140 cm thick 17th–20th-century cultural layer with contemporary pottery, individual stove tiles, other finds, and the remains of a pair of buildings was discovered. A layer from an Iron Age settlement was discovered in 12 test pits (a total area of 12 m2) excavated to the SW – SE of the building. This mid-1st-millennium settlement was already known from previous excavations, but the area it occupied has now been revised to about 1.5 ha.
