Summary / Abstract:

LT2008 m. tyrinėjimai pradėti kapinyno dalyje, esančioje į P nuo 2007 m. iškastos perkasos XXXIX. 2008 m. buvo iškastos dar 5 perkasos (XLI, XLII, XLIII, XLIV, XLV), kurių bendras plotas yra 110 m². Paaiškėjo, kad tirtoji kapinyno dalis buvo ardoma bulviarūsių, kitos paskirties ūkinių duobių. Ypač apardytas buvo perkasų XLIV ir XLV plotas. Ariant lauką, dalis kapų įkapių buvo išblaškyta dideliame plote [p. 126].

ENIn 2008 another 5 trenches (a total area of 110 m2) were excavated in Paprūdžiai cemetery (Kelmė District), where three inhumations were discovered. Burial 25 of a girl was inside a round stone kerb. The grave goods consisted of 2 iron crook-shaped pins and an amber bead necklace. Artefacts characteristic of the second half of the D period – early E period, i. e. the 5th century, were found in the other burials and by chance. The remains of a stone kerb, which could have belonged to barrows located here, were discovered in trench XLIII.
