Perkasa 47 iškasta kapinyno PR kampe, žemiausioje kapinyno vietoje, per 2 m į V nuo 2000 m. kastos perkasos 39 [p. 119].

ENIn 2008 KM continued the investigation of Lazdininkai (Kalnalaukis) cemetery (Kretinga District) with the excavation of 2 trenches: trench 46 (30 m2) and trench 47 (50.24 m2) in the S and SE parts of the cemetery. 4 inhumations were excavated in trench 46: burials 92 and 93 of two females, burial 96 of an individual of undetermined sex (female?), and burial 97 of a male. The female burials contained: hand built miniature pots, a hand built pot, amber spindle whorls, necklaces with glass and enamel beads, bronze coil beads, a ringshaped pendant, and bronze facetted beads, pins with round heads and round pendants, bracelets plated with white metal and somewhat thickened triangular terminals, and a bronze crossbow ladder brooch. Burial 97 contained a warrior buried with single-edged sword, an axe, a knife, a spearhead, a whetstone, a hand built pot, and a crossbow brooch with a long foot. On the basis of the preliminary data, the burial assemblages are characteristic of the second half of the 6th century. In trench 47, six inhumations were excavated: burial 94 of a male, burial 95 of an individual of undetermined sex and 15–18 years of age (male according to the grave goods), burial 98 of an individual of undetermined sex and 12–18 years of age (female according to the grave goods), burial 99 of a female, and burials 100 and 101 of males. The main burial direction was W or NW. The grave goods characteristic of male burials were weapons and other artefacts (one or two spearheads, a single-edged sword, a socketed axe, a scythe, a whetstone, and a hand built pot), ornaments (a crossbow zoomorphic brooch very similar to group III and a cruciform pin with iron tweezers). An exceptional burial assemblage (two spearheads, a single-edged sword, a bridle bit, a socketed axe, a scythe, a hand built pot, a shoulder strap with round distributors and zoomorphic pendants, three crossbow brooches, two of which are ladder brooches characteristic of groups II and IV, one group III zoomorphic brooch, and other rare artefacts) were found in burial 100, which contained a warrior who definitely belonged to the tribal aristocracy. Neck, chest, and arm ornaments (a neckring with a twisted bow, amber and glass bead necklaces, group II bronze crossbow ladder brooches, a bracelet with thickened triangular terminals, and coil rings) and various amber artefacts (a spindle whorl and an amulet) predominated as the main grave goods in the female burials. A metal belt tip should be assigned to the rarer grave goods. A rough hand built miniature pot was found in the head area in one of the burials. It is possible to preliminarily assign the burials excavated in trench 47 to the first half – middle of the 7th century.
