LT2008 m. Poškonių bendruomenės centro užsakymu Poškonių senkapio (Šalčininkų r., Dieveniškių sen.) teritorijoje ir aplinkoje buvo atlikti žvalgomieji archeologiniai tyrinėjimai. Čia Gaujos upės tvenkinio pakrantėje buvo įrenginėjama paplūdimio infrastruktūra, privažiavimo kelias bei automobilių stovėjimo aikštelė [p. 39].

ENIn 2008 a field evaluation was conducted on the grounds and in the vicinity of Poškonys ancient cemetery (Šalčininkai District, Dieveniškės Municipality). Two test pits (a total area of 4.17 m2), in which nothing was found, were excavated on the shore of the river Gauja lake prior to the installation of beach infrastructure. Two trenches (a total area of 19.88 m2), in which the remains of pyre sites were found, were excavated at the site of the car park being installed beside the ancient cemetery. The 2008 investigations confirm that the remains of a 1st-millennium (Middle Iron Age) settlement exist in the vicinity of the Poškonys ancient cemetery.
