Tyrinėjimai Trakų gatvėje 10 2008-2009 m

LT2008–2009 m. pavasarį APC „Antiqua“ tęsė archeologinius tyrinėjimus Vilniaus apskrities A. Mickevičiaus bibliotekos teritorijoje – Trakų gatvėje 10. Tyrinėjimai atlikti buvusių Tiškevičių rūmų pagrindiniame (gatvės) korpuse ir R fligelyje, vykdant rūmų rekonstravimo ir naujų rūsio patalpų įrengimo darbus. Pirmą kartą išlikusiuose istoriniuose šaltiniuose šiame sklype stovintis namas paminėtas 1609 m. Istorijos, archeologijos, architektūros tyrimų duomenys apie sklypą ir jo užstatymo raidą pateikti 2007 m. archeologinių tyrinėjimų ataskaitoje (žr. LIIR, f. 1, b. 4910). Dėl statybos darbų finansavimo sutrikimų žemės darbai buvo atliekami periodiškai (2008 m. vasarą ir 2009 m. pavasarį), mažomis pajėgomis. Bendras archeologinių tyrinėjimų plotas – 183 m2. 2009 m. gegužės mėn. darbai dėl lėšų stygiaus vėl sustabdyti. Nebaigtos tirti patalpos 12 ir 13 (58 m2 plotas) [p. 421].

ENExcavations (a total area of 183 m2) were conducted in 2008–2009 in the existing and new basement rooms of the E annex and main building of the Tiškevičiai palace located at Trakų Street 10. The cultural layer in the N part of the E annex was 1.3–1.6 m thick. Its lower horizons date to the 16th–17th centuries. A 2.75–3.3 m thick cultural layer was recorded in the S part of the annex. Arched foundations – the remains of the fence bordering the neighbouring possessions that are oriented in a N–S direction and date to the late 18th or early 19th century were discovered in rooms 11 and 12. Fragments of the pad and walls of two 17th–18th-century ovens were discovered in room 11. The earliest cultural layer horizons dating to the 15th–16th centuries were discovered in the palace’s main building (room 14). The cultural layer at this site was up to 4.2 m thick. Based on the excavation results, it is possible to speculate that a natural or artificial ditch oriented in an E–W direction alongside Trakų Street existed in the central part of the plot at Trakų Street 10.
