Tyrinėjimai Sereikiškių parke

LT2009 m. vykdyti archeologiniai tyrinėjimai Vilniaus senamiestyje (A1610K), Sereikiškių parke. Tyrinėjimai buvo susiję su naujo eksploatacinio vandens gręžinio įrengimo darbais. Parke esančioje Sereikiškių vandenvietėje, visoje Vilnios vingio juosiamoje teritorijoje yra daug eksploatuojamų ir jau nebeveikiančių vandens gręžinių. Naujasis gręžinys įrengtas centrinėje vandenvietės teritorijos dalyje. Gręžimo darbų metu šalia gręžinio reikėjo iškasti apie 15 m³ tūrio laikiną technologinę duobę molio skiediniui, taip užtikrinant gręžinio sienelių stabilumą [p. 407].

ENIn 2009 an excavation was conducted at Sereikiškės Park. In drilling a new borehole at the Sereikiškės well, a temporary work pit needed to be dug. Trench 1 (6 x 1.7 m, 10.2 m2) was excavated at its site. Fill layers from the second half of 20th century were recorded from a depth of 50–62 cm below the ground surface at the excavation site. Below this was unearthed a layer of mixed grey earth with a rubble layer. Its bottom was not reached in the trench. This layer contained a fairly large quantity of 20th century construction rubble and rubbish. Archaeologically valuable finds were also discovered in it: parts of bricks, fragments of clay floor and stove tiles, fragments of household pottery, an iron heel plate, a glass vessel (bottle?) shard, and a window glass shard. The earliest finds date to the 17th century, others can be dated to the 18th–19th centuries. The cultural layer was completely destroyed no earlier than mid-20th century. No undisturbed cultural layer horizons or sterile soil was reached.
