Tyrimai Galvės gatvėje 1

LT2009 m. gruodžio mėnesį TIM vykdė archeologinius tyrimus Trakų senamiestyje (U18), Galvės gatvėje 1. Kasinėjimai vyko vandentiekio bei nuotekų šalinimo trasų vietose. Bendras trasų ilgis 90 m. Tyrimai vykdyti iki projektinio gylio – 1,5–2 m. Sklypas yra Trakų miesto Š dalyje, vadinamojoje Užtiltėje. Tiriamą vietą iš P riboja Galvės ežeras, iš Š ir R – Galvės gatvė. Archeologinių tyrimų metu užfiksuotas nuo 1,2 m iki 1,9 m storio XVII–XX a. kultūrinis sluoksnis, išskirti keli jo horizontai [p. 373].

ENIn 2009, TIM conducted an excavation at the site of the water and sewer line trenches (a total length of 90 m) at Galvės Street 1 in Trakai Old Town. A 17th–20th-century fill cultural layer, which was 1.2–1.9 m thick and formed over potter’s clay and peat, was recorded during the excavation. It is asserted that previously part of the plot at Galvės Street 1 had been under lake Galvė, and that the relief of the plot and the adjacent areas has changed.
