LT2009 m. pradėta medinio namo, esančio Ch. Frenkelio vilos teritorijoje, rekonstrukcija. Vykdant namo pamatų hidroizoliaciją, 50 cm pločio grioveliu atkasti akmeniniai pastato pamatai. Atkasinėdami pamatus statybininkai prie medinio namo P sienos rado žmogaus kaukolę. Toje vietoje iškasta 2 x 1,5 m dydžio perkasa, ištiriant bendrą 3 m2 dydžio plotą. Apžiūrėti hidroizoliaciniai grioviai medinio namo perimetru, metalo ieškikliu patikrintos laisvos žemės [p. 149].
ENIn 2009 ŠAM investigated the grounds of the building complex called the Chaimas Frenkelis palace (villa) (26171) at Vilniaus Street 74. During the reconstruction of the wooden house on the villa’s grounds, construction workers found a human skull near the house’s S wall. A 3 m2 trench was excavated at this site and the waterproofing ditches on the perimeter of the wooden house inspected. One double grave, part of which is under the building’s foundation, was found in the trench. The deceased had no grave goods. There were no other burials beside or around the foundation of the wooden building. The individuals were buried prior to or during the 19th century.
