Žvalgomieji tyrinėjimai Kernavėje, prie Pilies kalno

LT2009 m. vykdyti žvalgomieji tyrinėjimai KKRD teritorijoje, į V nuo Pilies kalno piliakalnio esančioje kalvelėje. Tyrimai atlikti dėl KKRD direkcijos planų šioje vietoje rekonstruoti Pajautos slėnyje aptiktas 3 viduramžių miesto sodybas [p. 32].

ENIn 2009 an evaluation was conducted in KKRD territory on a small hill located to the W of Castle Hill. A total area of 41 m2 was excavated. The cultural layer in the excavated trench had been destroyed. 5 objects were unearthed in the sterile soil: 5 pits and 1 posthole. The pits contained a large quantity of pieces of daub of various shapes and sizes, charcoal, metal artefacts, potsherds, and animal bones. Judging from the finds, it is likely that the rubble from a building that burned down was dumped in the pits. The pits date to the 13th–14th century.
