Žvalgomieji tyrimai Gedimino gatvėje

LTKernavėje, Gedimino gatvėje vietoje senų peraugusių ir išpjautų medžių buvo planuojama pasodinti 9 naujus. Kadangi numatomos medžių sodinimo vietos patenka į paminklinę Kernavės senamiesčio II teritoriją, jose buvo atlikti žvalgomieji tyrinėjimai. Ankstesniais metais artimiausioje aplinkoje platesni tyrinėjimai vykdyti sklype Gedimino g. 1, kur aptiktos XIV a. datuojamos ūkinės paskirties duobės su gausiais to meto radiniais (ATL 2004 metais, V., 2006, p. 52). Šurfai 1 ir 2 kasti Gedimino gatvės R gale, 15 ir 10 m atstumu nuo bažnyčios šventoriaus tvoros ŠV kampo. Šurfai 3–9 kasti viena eile, 6–7 m į R nuo tako, jungiančio Gedimino gatvę su Pilies kalno piliakalniu. [...] [p. 335].

ENPlans were made to plant nine new trees at the site of overgrown and cut down trees on Gedimino street in Kernavė. Because the foreseen planting site falls within the territory of Kernavė old town II, an evaluation was conducted at their site. Test pits 1 and 2 were excavated at the E end of the Gedimino street, 15 and 10 m from the NW corner of the churchyard fence. Test pits 3–9 were excavated in a single line 6–7 m to the E of the path joining Gedimino street with the Castle hill hillfort. A 75–145 cm thick cultural layer, clinker, clay daub, animal bones, and 15th-19th century ceramics were discovered in test pits 1 and 2.
