Savanorių aikštė 12A

LTTyrinėta vieta Savanorių aikštėje 12A priklauso Panevėžio miesto istorinei daliai (UK 31872). Šis sklypas ribojasi su buvusia turgaus aikšte-dabar autobusų stotis. Neturtingiausias miesto kvartalas Turgaus aikštės R pusėje buvo vadinamas Slabada. 2011 m. numatomo statyti komercinio pastato vietoje ištirtos 3 3x10 m dydžio perkasos, iš viso 90 m2. Visose 3 perkasose, bendrame 90 m² plote aptikti gyvenamojo namo pamatai, krosnių padas, krosnių stovėjimo vietos, buitinės paskirties rūsys, kiemo grindinio fragmentai, plytų mūro liekanos ir daug radinių, tarp jų 5 monetos. Galima teigti, kad šioje vietoje gyvenamas namas galėjo būti pastatytas XVIII a. pabaigoje-XIX a. pradžioje, o gyventa jame dar ir XX a. pradžioje. [...] [p. 417-418, 420].

ENIn 2011, three 3 x 10 m trenches (a total of 90 m2 ) were excavated on the plot at Savanorių sq. 12A, which was in a poor quarter, called Slabada, in a historical part of Panevėžys to the E of Turgaus square. A 1.05–1.1 m thick cultural layer was discovered in them and sterile soil reached at a depth of 1.4–1.6 m. Fragments of a residential home foundation, a stove pad, a stove site, a board-paved household basement, fragments of courtyard paving, the remains of a brick wall, and abundant finds including five coins, metal fittings, special purpose vessels, decorated stove tiles, hundreds of sherds from very diverse pots, jars, bowls, plates, saucers, pitchers, and bottles, and pieces of other earthenware, glass, and metal vessels were unearthed in the excavated area. A residential home was erected at this site in the late 18th early 19th century and was still inhabited in the early 20th century.
