Kapinių Vilniuje, Mindaugo gatvėje 27, 27A tyrinėjimai

LTVilniaus mieste, sklype Mindaugo g. 27, 27A (Kauno ir Mindaugo gatvių sankirtoje) po 2009 ir 2010 m. atliktų žvalgomųjų (ATL 2009 metais, Vilnius, 2010, p. 150–153) ir archeologinių tyrinėjimų (ATL 2009 metais, Vilnius, 2010, p. 141–148; ATL 2010 metais, Vilnius, 2011, p. 148–151) 2011 m. darbai buvo pratęsti. Š, PR ir V kapinių dalyse ištirtos 4 perkasos-iš viso 579 m2 plotas. Tyrimų metu išsiaiškinta, jog kalvelė, kurioje buvo laidojama, žemėja Š kryptimi. Kapai randami įkasti į šviesiai gelsvą smėlį apie 4090 cm (smėlis atsidengia Habs 140,08–140,20 m). Virš šio smėlio buvo susidaręs pilkšvos spalvos 15–40 cm storio kultūrinis sluoksnis, kuriame rasta keramikos: puodų, puodynių ir lėkščių šukių (180 vienetų), koklių (4 šukės), stiklo butelių duženų. Keramika buitinė, vyrauja neglazūruoti indai, tik nedidelė dalis puodų buvo padengti žalia glazūra. Rastas juodosios keramikos indas (kelios šukės). Keramika datuojama XVIII–XIX a. (gal dalis gali būti priskirta ir XVII a. pabaigai). Iš viso per 3 kapinių tyrimų metus ištirtas 1793,5 m2 plotas (2009-600 m2, 2010-614,5 m2 ir 2011 m.-579 m2), surasti 179 palaidojimai, datuoti XVI a., surinkta 1210 radinių. [...] [p. 172, 174].

ENIn 2011, the excavation, begun in 2009 and 2010, of the cemetery discovered in the plot at Mindaugo st. 27 in Vilnius was continued. The N, SE, and W parts of the plot were excavated (a total of 579 m2), 51 burials and 22 grave goods being found. The cemetery’s N boundary, which was marked by 27 column pits from the former fence, was discovered. A greyish, 15–40 cm thick cultural layer, which contained 18th–19th century pots, jars, and plate sherds, four stove tile fragments, and glass bottle shards, had formed above the cemetery’s surface. The burials were dug to a depth of 60120 cm from the then ground’s surface. Almost all of the individuals had been buried in coffins assembled with nails. They had been buried supine with the head to the NW-N, the legs extended, and the arms either placed on the pelvis or extended along the side. On the basis of the coins (1520, 1570) the cemetery dates to the mid late 16th century. A leather pouch with wooden forks, a thimble, and a small chisel (burial 176), a ‘border composed of two crotals and a glass bead (burial 165), bronze rings, belt buckles, small knives, and the remains of caps were found. Two glass discs, reminiscent of coins, lay near the individual’s right side in burial 153. During the three years of the investigation of the cemetery in Mindaugo street, a total of 1793.50 m2 has been excavated, 179 16th century burials have been found, and 1210 finds collected.
