Tyrinėjimai Barboros Radvilaitės ir Bernardinų gatvėse

LTPagal dujotiekio rekonstrukcijos Vilniaus miesto Barboros Radvilaitės, Bernardinų, Bokšto, Didžiosios, Kūdrų, Literatų, Maironio, Savičiaus gatvių projektą numatyta atnaujinti esamas dujotiekio trasas-į senus esamus vamzdžius įverti naujus mažesnio diametro vamzdžius, taip pat padaryti naujus įvadus vartotojams, ten, kur jų nėra. Naujai įrengiamų dujotiekio trasų vietose žvalgomųjų tyrimų metu ištirti 5 bendro 10 m2 ploto šurfai. Trys iš jų tirti Barboros Radvilaitės gatvėje (1,5 m2 dydžio) bei du Bernardinų g. 10 sklype (1,8 m2 , 3,25 m2 dydžio). Iš viso rasti 179 vienetai XVI–XX a. radinių: krosnių koklių, buitinių keraminių indų fragmentai, prekių plombos, XVIII–XX a. monetos. [...] [p. 478-479].

ENDuring a field evaluation at the sites of new gas line routes in Vilnius, five test pits (a total of 10 m2) were excavated, three on Barboros Radvilaitės street and two on the plot at Bernardinų st. 10. A 17th–20th century cultural layer up to 3.4 m thick had formed on the N side of Barboros Radvilaitės street. An old bed of the Vilnia or its bank had probably existed at this site because sterile soil was reached at a depth of 3.4 m. A 17th century undisturbed fill layer was reached at a depth of 2 m outside of the NW corner of the masonry fence at Barboros Radvilaitės st. 4. 17th–20th century cultural layer horizons up to 2.5 m thick were excavated on the plot at Bernardinų st. 10. Mixed black fill soil with an abundance of scattered human bones was found in the test pit near the house’s E wall. This definitely attests that a cemetery containing both sexes existed at this site or nearby. Because no artefacts, characteristic of grave goods, were found in the layers with human bones, the burial chronology remains unclear. The only find, a Catholic cross, may, based on the script and production method (cast), date to the 18th early 19th century.
