Tyrimai Šeduvoje

LT2012 m. birželio–liepos mėnesiais Šeduvos (Radviliškio r.) senojo miesto vietos (UK 30340) 3 sklypuose buvo atlikti archeologiniai tyrimai. Kadangi planuojamos trasos projektinis gylis nesiekia šurfe 3 fiksuoto kultūrinio sluoksnio, per visą trasos ilgį buvo atlikti žvalgymai. Jų metu trasos vietoje fiksuoti XX a. suardymai su pavieniais XVIII–XX a. I pusės radiniais. [...] [p. 427-428].

ENIn 2012, an excavation was conducted on three plots in Šeduva (Radviliškis district, Central Lithuania) old town. 14 m2 were excavated at Laisvės sq. 3 and layers destroyed in the 20th century with isolated fragments of traditional rustic pottery were found. 20 m2 were excavated at Taikos st. 4, uncertain wooden structures were discovered in the SW part of the trench, and the contours of several storage pits were recorded in the wall’s profile. Five fragments of traditional rustic pottery found in one pit belonged to one pot and date to the 17th century. Five test pits (a total of 10 m2) were excavated at Vilniaus st. 13A and isolated 18th–19th century finds were discovered: sherds of household pottery and stove tile fragments. A layer of dark grey mixed soil with tens of household pottery sherds dating to the 18th–19th centuries was found at a depth of 1.15 m in test pit 3.
