Danės gatvė 1

LT2012 m. rugpjūčio 29 d.-rugsėjo 27 d. buvo vykdomi žvalgomieji archeologiniai tyrimai Klaipėdos miesto istorinėje dalyje (UK 22012), Danės g. 1. Archeologinių tyrimų tikslas buvo išsiaiškinti, ar planuojamose Danės upės Šiaurinio rago aplinkos sutvarkymo ir "AB Smiltynės Perkėla" priklausančio administracinės paskirties pastato statybos darbų vietose (tyrimų užsakovas UAB "Parama") yra išlikę moksliškai vertingų kultūrinių sluoksnių, archeologinių objektų ar struktūrų, datuojamų iki 1800 m. Planuota tyrimų vieta patenka į teritoriją, supiltą XIX–XX a. Tyrimų vietoje buvo suplanuoti ir iškasti 6 šurfai, kiekvienas 2x1 m dydžio. Tyrimų eigoje, aptikus archeologinę struktūrą, šurfas 4 buvo praplatintas iki 8,5 m2 . Bendras ištirtas plotas sudaro 18,5 m2 . Vertingas kultūrinis sluoksnis aptiktas tik šurfe 4. Jo storis-1,2 m. Šurfe 4 aptiktus radinius ir struktūrą, remiantis istorine medžiaga, galima datuoti XIX a. I puse. Šurfuose 5 ir 6 buvo aptikti nesurišti rišamąja medžiaga atitinkamai 2 ir 6 stamboki 30–40x30–40x20–30 cm dydžio akmenys. Aptiktus akmenis, kaip ir visuose šurfuose fiksuotus supiltinius žvyro sluoksnius, galima traktuoti kaip iš burlaivių XVIII a. II pusėje iškrautą balastą, skirtą Šiaurinio rago formavimui. ENIn 2012, a field evaluation (six test pits, a total of 18.5 m2) was conducted at Danės st. 1, which is called Šiaurinis or Šiaurės ragas (Northern Cape), in the historical part of Klaipėda. The stratigraphic layers in the test pits consisted mainly of gravel that had been brought in. The remains of a building: fragments of red brick and stonework, were uncovered in test pit 4. Several finds were also collected: seven pieces of kaolin pipe stem, the bottom of a dark brown glass bottle, the bottom of a hand thrown clay pot, an oyster shell, and four domestic animal (cow and horse) bones. Test pits 5 and 6 contained several fairly big stones. According to historical sources, the cape was formed between the mid-18th and the mid-19th century. A building where ship tar was made was built on the tip of Šiaurinis ragas in 1818. According to historical data, it was also used as a kitchen and laundry for sailors. Therefore the conclusion can be made that the unearthed building remnants belong to the tar house. The features and dating of the finds do not contradict this. The aforementioned layers of gravel and stones in the test pits should be considered unloaded ship’s ballast, which was used to form the Šiaurinis ragas cape in the second half of the 18th century.
