S. Dagilio gatvė 8

LT2012 m. birželio–liepos mėnesiais S. Dagilio g. 8 sklypo Š kampe, Biržų senojo miesto vietoje, projektuojamo užstatymo teritorijoje MLIM vykdė detaliuosius archeologinius tyrimus. 2012 m. detaliųjų archeologinių tyrimų metu atidengtas bendras 15,4x9 m dydžio plotas (plotai 1–3). 7x2,6 m dydžio plotas 3 išmatuotas į ŠR pusę nuo plotų 1 ir 2, tarp buvusio šiltnamio betoninių pamatų ir esamo pastato. Bendras tirtas plotas siekia 157 m2. Prie ploto 1 PV sienelės bei prie ploto 2 PR sienelės 50 cm gylyje rasti grindinio fragmentai, datuojami XX a. pradžia. Tirtų plotų ŠR pusėje rasta 2,4x1,2 m dydžio apardyta struktūra, panaši į krosnies padą, t. y. 30 cm storio molio su XVII a. II pusės kokliais sluoksnis. Didžioji dalis XVII a. kultūrinio sluoksnio tirtuose plotuose sunaikinta, XVIII–XX a. kasant pamatus pastatams ir rūsiams, klojant inžinerinius tinklus bei įrengiant šiltnamius. [...] [p. 371-373 ].

ENIn 2012, 157 m2 (areas 1–3) were excavated during an investigation at S. Dagilio st. 8. An unearthed wooden basement with clay-lined walls contained sherds of early 18th century pottery, bottle shards, porcelain pipe fragments, etc. A storage pit could have been created in the 18th century and used until the second half of the 19th century. On the NE side of the excavated area was found a 2.4 x 1.2 m partially destroyed structure similar to a stove pad, i.e. a 30 cm thick layer of clay with stove tiles from the second half of the 17th century. The bulk of the 17th century cultural layer in the investigated areas had been destroyed during the 18th–20th centuries through the digging of building and basement foundations, laying utility lines, and erecting hothouses.
